What you actually pay

• • Alipay/WeChat Pay with a foreign card: no fee under ¥200 per transaction, ~3% above it.
• • Cash from a bank ATM: your home bank's foreign-transaction fee, usually 0–3%.
• • Airport exchange counters: the widest spread — use them only for a small first-day float.
